Plot printing is large-format printing of technical drawings — CAD plans, architectural blueprints, engineering schematics, P&ID diagrams and topographical maps — at sizes A2 and above on matte coated bond paper. Architects, civil and M&E engineers, surveyors and construction project teams use plot printing for site drawings, submission sets and presentation boards.
At Orange Print, we plot from PDF, DWG and TIFF files on matte coated 95gsm paper using a Canon imagePROGRAF TZ-5320 at up to 2,400 × 1,200 dpi. Sharp lines, accurate scaling, true-to-CAD colour. The same machine is a multi-function unit — so we also handle large-format copying and large-format scanning under one roof in Sembawang. Plot printing at Orange Print is priced per sheet by paper size and quantity tier. A2 starts at S$1.00 in black & white and S$2.00 in colour. A1 is S$2.00 (B&W) or S$4.00 (colour). A0 is S$4.00 (B&W) or S$8.00 (colour). Volume discounts apply automatically at 10, 51 and 100 sheets.

Plot printing at Orange Print uses matte coated 95gsm paper as standard — bright white, ink-receptive, folds cleanly for transport on site. The matte coating gives line drawings a sharp finish without glare under typical site lighting. Suitable for both CAD/engineering drawings and architectural presentation plans.
Output specification: up to 2,400 × 1,200 dpi on our Canon imagePROGRAF TZ-5320 five-colour pigment ink system. Pigment ink resists fading and humidity better than dye ink — useful for drawings that sit in site folders or submission sets for weeks. Line weights down to 0.1 mm render at full sharpness.
Standard plot printing turnaround at Orange Print is 2–3 working days at no surcharge. That covers most CAD plot jobs — submission sets, IFC drawings, archive copies, walkthrough plans. Our Sembawang facility at Nordcom 2 is the collection point — about 8 minutes’ drive from Sembawang MRT.

We need to confirm press capacity for your date and check that your file is print-ready before we commit to a tight timeline. Rush orders carry a 20% surcharge on the standard price (after volume discount, before GST).
For walk-in single sheets (1–3 A1 plots), we can usually produce them in 15–30 minutes during business hours if the file is printable on arrival.

Plot printing files at Orange Print should be supplied as flattened PDF, AutoCAD DWG (2010 or later) or TIFF. Match the page size in the file to your selected print size (A2, A1 or A0) so we don’t have to rescale. Embed all fonts or convert text to outlines. Use CMYK colour mode for colour plots; grayscale for B&W.
If you’re working in Revit (.rvt), MicroStation (.dgn) or SketchUp (.skp), export to PDF before submission. We can open most engineering source files but PDF is the most predictable.
If a file fails our pre-flight check, we email you within 2 working hours with what needs fixing — no charge for the check.
Plot printing, plotter printing, CAD printing and blueprint printing all refer to the same service in Singapore: large-format inkjet printing of technical drawings on bond paper. “Plot” comes from the original pen-plotter machines. “Plotter” describes the machine. “CAD” describes the source software. “Blueprint” is the legacy term from cyanotype prints. If you have an existing physical drawing that needs to be digitised or duplicated, contact us for more details — same Sembawang collection point, same working-day turnaround on most jobs.
There’s no minimum order. The price calculator works for a single sheet just as accurately as 100 sheets. For corporate accounts with regular monthly volume, we set up invoice-based accounts with consolidated billing — contact us to arrange this.
Our Canon imagePROGRAF TZ-5320 with five-colour pigment ink produces up to 2,400 × 1,200 dpi prints on matte coated 95gsm paper with high colour accuracy. For exact colour matching against a Pantone reference or RGB swatch, send the reference with your file and we’ll do a test plot first — no charge for the test sheet.

We have 10 tips to help you create the best artwork:
Choose the right size: Ensure your artwork matches the final print size. Common sizes include A4, A5, or custom dimensions. Use our size templates if available.
Include bleed: Extend your artwork 2mm beyond the trim edge to account for any slight cutting errors.
Set margins: Keep important content at least 5mm away from the trim line to avoid it being cut off.
CMYK color mode: Convert your artwork from RGB (or Pantone) to CMYK. This color mode is essential for accurate color reproduction in print.
High resolution: Ensure all images and graphics are at least 300 DPI (dots per inch) to avoid pixelation.
Embed fonts: Ensure all fonts are embedded within the file, or
Outline fonts: Convert text to outlines/paths to avoid font issues.
Vector graphics: Use vector formats for logos and illustrations whenever possible.
Image quality: Use high-resolution images to maintain quality.
