What kraft stickers are

Kraft stickers are adhesive labels printed on natural brown kraft paper stock with a matte, uncoated finish. At Orange Print, we print kraft stickers digitally with permanent adhesive on our in-house press. They are used by eco-conscious brands, artisan F&B businesses, wedding planners, gift-packaging buyers and corporate sustainability teams for their rustic, handcrafted aesthetic that signals natural, unbleached and recyclable.

Unlike coated paper or synthetic film stickers, kraft paper has a visible fibre texture and warm brown colour that comes from its unbleached pulp. Kraft sticker pricing is positioned the same as our standard paper stickers — pricing varies by size and quantity. Kraft paper and print quality

Kraft stickers at Orange Print are printed on natural brown kraft paper stock with a matte uncoated finish and permanent adhesive backing. The natural fibre surface absorbs ink slightly more than coated paper, giving prints a softer, slightly muted appearance — an aesthetic that buyers in artisan and eco categories actively want. Sharp lines and dark text render cleanly; full-colour photo prints have a vintage, slightly desaturated look.

Because kraft paper is brown, white ink and very light colours do not show. We do not currently offer white-ink underlay on kraft stock — designs should rely on dark and saturated colours for visibility. The natural brown background can be used creatively as part of the design itself, leaving negative space to let the kraft texture show through.

Kiss-cut or die-cut: which to choose

Kiss-cut stickers are cut through the top layer only, leaving the paper backing intact — multiple stickers come on one peel-off sheet. Die-cut stickers are cut through both the sticker and the backing, so each sticker is fully separated. Both options are available at Orange Print at the same price — the choice is about how you’ll use them.

Choose kiss-cut when you want multiple stickers on one easy-handling sheet — common for marketing collateral, sticker packs, classroom labels, gift-bag inserts, and any job where the sheet itself helps with organisation, mailing, or distribution. Customers peel as needed.

Choose die-cut when each sticker will be applied individually to a product, package or item — common for product labels on bottles and jars, wedding favours, premium gift packaging, candle jar seals, and any application where there’s no need to keep the sticker sheet. Die-cut delivers a cleaner, premium hand-feel with no waste paper around the sticker.

Turnaround

Standard kraft sticker turnaround at Orange Print is same-day or next-working-day collection for orders printed on in-stock kraft paper. Most orders confirmed before 11 am are ready by end of business the same day. Larger orders (above 1,000 stickers) or jobs requiring stock replenishment may run into the following working day.

For rush jobs — same-day morning collection or after-hours pickup — WhatsApp us at 8438 1313 first to confirm press availability. Walk-in single-sheet jobs (1–3 stickers, 50mm or smaller) can usually be produced in 15–20 minutes during business hours if the file is print-ready on arrival.

Artwork preparation for kraft stickers

Kraft sticker artwork at Orange Print should be supplied as flattened PDF, Adobe Illustrator (.ai), or high-resolution PNG / JPG. Match the file dimensions to your final sticker size with a 2mm bleed on all sides if your design extends to the edge. Use dark, saturated colours — black, dark brown, deep blue, forest green, burgundy — for best visibility on the brown kraft surface. Light pastels and white ink will not render.

Kraft has a rustic, handmade aesthetic preferred by eco brands, artisan F&B and craft producers. Standard mirrorkote is brighter and cheaper to print colour photography on. Both use the same digital press and same permanent adhesive.

What colours print well on kraft stickers?

Dark, saturated colours print best on kraft stock — black, dark brown, deep blue, forest green, burgundy and rich earth tones. Light pastels, white and very pale colours will not show against the brown background. The brown surface can be used as part of the design by leaving negative space to let the kraft texture show through, a popular technique in artisan and eco branding.

Are kraft stickers waterproof?

No. Kraft stickers at Orange Print are printed on uncoated natural kraft paper, which is splash-resistant but not waterproof. Water exposure will soften the paper and cause the print to bleed. For waterproof applications — bottle labels, freezer packs, outdoor packaging — choose our PP or PET label stickers instead.

Are kraft stickers more sustainable than other stickers?

Kraft paper is unbleached and made from natural wood pulp, often with recycled content, and is generally recyclable where paper recycling is accepted. This makes kraft stickers a more eco-friendly choice than synthetic PP/PET stickers for buyers prioritising sustainability. Where do I collect my kraft stickers?

Orange Print Pte Ltd is at Nordcom 2, 2 Gambas Crescent, Singapore 757044. Self-collection from our Sembawang facility — roughly 8 minutes by car from Sembawang MRT or Yishun MRT. Operating hours are Monday to Friday, 9 am to 5 pm. Saturday collection by appointment. We also arrange courier delivery across Singapore on request.
